Faulty Redux

Remember our worst covers ever discussion on NTS? Well, we have a new contender - the Brittas American VHS releases:

The Brittas Empire American VHS Cover - Set 1 Part 1 The Brittas Empire American VHS Cover - Set 1 Part 2 The Brittas Empire American VHS Cover - Set 1 Part 3

Quite apart from obvious ugliness (why did they think that font was appropriate?), the lack of labelling of which Brittas video it actually is (no ‘Part 1’ titles or anything), and the laziness inherent in just changing the colour and absolutely nothing else (not even the objects) - do American distributors think that every British comedy show should be represented by things coming out of someone’s head?

Treat your audience with a bit of fucking intelligence.

This may be the first I’ve even heard of ANY Brittas being available in the US. I think, maybe, there was a Best Of tape…but I could be mis-remembering. Jesus lord. When were these things released?
