“the kind of puerile humour that blights Ganymede and Titan...” - Rick Mason, Groovetown

John Hoare / 04.01.07 / 6:15 am

Erm... Normslides?

Norman Lovett. The Battersea Arts Centre. Friday 26th January, 9pm. Tickets are £10 (£6 Concessions). You can buy them here. I think this covers all you need to know, apart from to mention that I saw a very early version of Jerry Springer: The Opera at Battersea, which means I’m brilliant and you’re shit. Possibly.

Anyone who has seen Norm’s slideshow at DJ will know this is very good, so if you can make it, I strongly recommend it - although it’s not as entertaining as Sorry!. He’s also posted some Autumn dates on his site; rather far in the future, so if you’re interested, just go and have a look there.

Psh. You don’t know G&T addiction until you’ve been here for a few months =P . These folks here effectively introduced me to the c-word as a part of common discourse…and I cunting well never looked back.

I never even knew cunting was a word until yesterday. It’s very rare to see a fansite about a comedy show that’s actually funny. Most of them try, obviously.

I love you, Sean.

Back when this site was just Ian and John I had exactly the same introduction to this place as you did. After reading the latest story about some fake series III DVD cover I then went on to read the entire site much to the dismay of my sleeping patterns. I’ve had *actual* man-love for John and Ian ever since.

I had love for Ian. He didn’t want it.

Thanks Sean!

I’m not used to receiving compliments. The closest I’ve got recently apart from this is that 35 people who were polled on this site don’t think I’m an utter turd. I’ll take anything I can get, frankly.

I did exactly the same thing. I can’t remember exactly which article I started on, but I did stay up until about 4am reading every single other one.

Strangely perhaps, I just didn’t get it…
Here was a site dedicated to the world of Dwarf, well written, amusing and crying out for users. Using the ‘official’ sites as a platform for attracting readers, people arriving from the sanitised world of before the watershed, family friendly comfort zones were treated to a tirade of bad language and anti-VIII vitriol. What was the point?, I thought.
I’ve never been a prude, swear like a trooper in male company, have written some dodgy stuff myself etc etc but just felt the site was alienating the very people they were trying to serve!
Over a period of time though, it dawned on me that I was reading every article, replying, arguing and generally taking everything in. Before long, I found myself calling in here before anywhere else and even making the odd contribution and tipping off John about the odd story.
Ok, I think I get it now…….

You Bastards.
