“a website run by a group of friends that don't just make 'fan' a dirty word, they soil it like a pair of decade old underpants” - Shane G

Looks exactly the same to me

Watching Me2 today, something struck me.

RIMMER: No. No, no, no. That’s the new Military Grey bit there, and that’s the dowdy, old, nasty Ocean Gray bit there. Or is it the other way around?

This is clearly Rob and Doug taking the piss out of the sets, isn’t it? It seems so obvious - and yet I never thought of it that way at all before…

Now’s the time to tell me that everyone knows this, and I should SHUT THE FUCK UP, I would have thought.

Especially obvious because it’s the only episode of series one written AFTER they’d begun production…

Yeah, I meant to mention that, and then, erm didn’t. It’s weird how your mind gets stuck on things. I first saw Me2 loads of times way before I knew anything about the production of the show. So there’s shitloads of obvious stuff that just doesn’t click, because I’m hearing dialogue I already know off by heart, and so just think of it in the same way I did in 1994…

Do you know when Me2 was written, Andrew? Was it between the aborted production and the remount, or was it once the remount had actually been started?

It’s pretty obvious. I suppose it’s similar in Parallel Universe with the Holly Hop Drive, although it’s not like a bitter pisstake or anything, it’s a good laugh. Ahhh…series 1 and 2 are the best, are they not? OK OK…III, IV and V are better than series 1, but I’d rather watch series 1 than VI without a shadow of a doubt.

I think someone mentioned about the Hop Drive a while ago. And until someone mentioned it, it hadn’t clicked either - although on rewatching, it’s probably even more obvious than the Ocean/Military Gray stuff…

This’ll end up like Pavlov’s dogs won’t it? Andrew will just mention DVD releases and we’ll just salivate…

Incidentally, Hoare, what happened to your “more later” on preggers Lister?

It’s not the not doing it, it’s the “I’ll do it” before the not doing it :p!

John that was so obvious, everyone knows this already, so yeah shut up.

I personally have never missed any of the detail within Dwarf.

Hey wait a minute… I’ve just noticed it’s set in space.

Why didnt anyone mention this before!
