“I can't believe how disrespectful some people are...” - RDFan

BIG NEWS FROM TOS, OMG

So far we’ve only had frustratingly incomplete information to go on but now - finally! - the speculation can end, as TOS has revealed…

the final details on the theme for the 2009 calendar. Oh.

As previously suspected, and despite the Brief History of Time spoof on the cover, the theme isn’t actually high concept in the slightest. Each month will see a montage of images, with each of the eight series and four main characters getting a month each. Maybe the montage is a deliberate tie-in to the rumoured clip nature of a certain other GNP project? Who knows. It does look nice, though.

I did like the last two Big Ideas for the calendars, but never quite thought they were totally successful. Taking this much simpler approach is safer, but I’ve got a feeling it’ll turn out to be my favourite. Uncomplicated, and nicely done. I’ll take that.

If you’re interested, this is the first G&T article to be posted with Google Chrome. How exciting. It grinds my PC to a halt at times, suffers from the odd annoying bug and it doesn’t have useful plug-ins but it looks nice, loads pages like fucked lightening and has the excellent feature of a separate process for each tab open.

I remain unconvinced. Nice ideas, but until it has apps to FF standard, it wont get my vote.

Interesting the fact that they didn’t use any series VIII shots of Rimmer in that Montage, may be they were just focusing on the original Rimmer….but then why include Ace Rimmer from Stoke Me A Kipper?

And they didn’t use any shots of Rimmer when he was in the body of Kochanski….what could it all mean?

The site does say “only eight series (so far)” though.

Make of that what you will. I could make it into a plane… or a hat… or a broche…

Indeed. There have been a couple of little things these last 2 weeks. Last week we saw a film poster we haven’t seen before in an article about RD popularity. This week, the ‘so far’ comment in a calendar article.

Might not mean a thing but all adds to the fun of speculation.
