Kryten YouTube Video!

G&T’s recent penchant for extremely literal headlines continues - the long-awaited Kryten YouTube vid is here! Have fun discussing it whilst we figure out how to get caught up a bit…

With thanks to Timestone2000 in the forums.

The timing is strange- we know he recorded it weeks ago, but for it to only be released now means its teaser value falls, compared to the quality of the other teasers released this week.

Mind you, I wonder if GNP/ Dave wanted to be the first with footage, so poor Bobby had to wait?

I wonder why the green screen backing?- would make sense if had been released prior to images of the sets.

Lol, that was fantastic.

Whose idea was that anyway? I really fancy the lister postcard website, too.

Lovely, lovely stuff.

Well, this is clearly something Robert’s done on his own - he’s taken the opportunity to record it while (a) in costume and (b) around a camera. So presumably during the greenscreen filming was the best chance he got.

Surprised he didn’t use it to gamma key dwarf into the background or something… add that ambient space sound in thats used in the deleted scenes and voila!

Although then Kryten would technically be floating in space… hmm… I’ll think again…

Brilliant. If anything we now know what the mask looks like when he’s talking. Very good, it would seem.

Minus the double chin and of course the fluffing of his lines and bar the cough, I’d say it was an absolutely splendid little video from Kryten, erm Mr Llwellyn. Could have done a better take old Robert. I’d give it 3 and a half slop out buckets.
